Sanctuary:- A World Wide Panorama
Over the 2004 Winter Solstice VR photographers around the world shot panoramas on the theme "Sanctuary" for a World Wide Panorama project
I shot my "Sanctuary" panorama of a homeless family inspecting their new room at
People Serving People, an emergency housing shelter in downtown Minneapolis,
Minnesota that provides temporary rooms for up to 440 people, 60% of them
children.
On this first night of winter the temperature dropped to -8 degrees F (-22 C), with wind chills reaching -33 degrees F (-36
C). Deeper into winter the temperature here can hit -30 degrees F (-34 C) and
colder. That makes People Serving People not only a sanctuary, but a
life-saving sanctuary.
